B.E. MBM Jodhpur → GATE 99.1% (AIR 943) → M.Tech NIT Warangal → BNY Mellon, Chennai (Aug 2023–Present)

I’m a backend-first engineer who learned ML before it was hype. At BNY Mellon I own contract and regulatory platforms — Java/Spring Boot microservices on one side, monolithic ASP.NET/IIS on the other. I like the parts others avoid: disaster recovery for 25+ apps, Kafka failover that actually works, and the 18.8 MB page that took 7 minutes to load until we made it 5 seconds.

JOURNEY

Why backend + AI?

Undergrad (MBM Jodhpur, 2016–2020) got me into deep learning — Kaggle, medical imaging, thesis on Autoencoder-Huffman for Image Compression. M.Tech at NIT Warangal (2021–2023) made it formal. BNY taught me production: regulated finance doesn’t forgive a dropped Kafka offset or a leaky secret in a Devin chain-of-thought. So I bridge both — I can tune a transaction boundary @Transactional and explain why SMOTE matters for fraud recall.

What I’m good at
Making monoliths fast, microservices resilient, and on-call nights quiet. RBAC, vuln remediation, and runbooks that actually get used.
What I’m learning
LLD/HLD depth, system design tradeoffs, and shipping RAG reliably — the same way I shipped a 99% faster portal: measure, paginate, verify.
BEYOND CODE

Who I am when not on call

History buff — I can talk Rajasthan history or Indian Army history for longer than you’d like. FC Barcelona supporter, footballer, and Age of Empires II is my go-to reset. Those aren’t fillers — history taught me to think in systems, football to think in teams.

PRINCIPLES
Measure before you optimize. Prefer boring tech that recovers. Write the runbook before the incident. Governance is not overhead — it’s why Devin secrets got rotated the same day.
